These  photos are blurry. Why do they work? Do they work? What does it feel like to see someone breaking the rules like this? Are there occasions when you want a photograph to be blurry on purpose? Why doesn’t this apply to every photograph?

  1. Yes they work because not everything looks good in focus and this person realize that. Why have rules when you can’t break them. A lot of people break rules and when you do sometimes it feels good and you get a good end result. Yes I have taken blurry photos and it actually turned out pretty good because I captured exactly what I had in mind. Maybe because the photo is out of focus and you can’t really see them.

  2. These photos are blurry. Why do they work?i dont think they built a camera to make blurry photos. even if your trying to make a trend. Do they work? not to me.What does it feel like to see someone breaking the rules like this? it feels like they brought back they person who made the camera and just crapped on him. Are there occasions when you want a photograph to be blurry on purpose? maybe the background of the front of the photo but not all of it. the purpose of a photo is to capture and be able to look at it clearly. Why doesn’t this apply to every photograph? because people dont usually take blurry photos and if they do they RETAKE IT.

  3. These photos are blurry. Why do they work? Because they want to do something else, they want to be different compared to what other photographers do. They want to be able to do something that hasn’t been done or seen.
    Do they work? Yes. it’s just different work they do, they probably want to be unique on their photographs they want to show a different view.

  4. These kind of work and kind of don’t They do because there is a sense of mystery. They don’t because I can’t see anything. I like that someone is breaking the rules but it is really grating because it didn’t entirely work. There are occasions when photos should be blurry, but only for creating certain moods and emotions. They shouldn’t always be done because there are usually better ways and because they tend to s u c k

  5. Yes, the photos are blurry and yes they do work. In my opinion, it adds their own taste of photography in photos which makes the picture better and more interesting. I have tried to do blurry photos but people would think the picture is incomplete.

  8. yes these are blurry,yeah, it feels weird because its something that you don’t see very often
    yes there is.Because mostly every image needs to be focused and you don’t really take blurry pictures.

  9. These photos may be blurry but they do work. You can still see there’s a subject in them and the fact that they’re blurry makes them a bit more interesting and really catches the eye. This is a really cool idea and i think i might try it with some of my work.

  10. These photos work because your brain works to find patterns and you can easily recognize the buildings in the photo because of it. Its really cool to see someone breaking the rules like this, it creative. There are occasions when you want a photograph to be blurry on purpose, like when you want the viewer to focus on one part of the photo. This doesn’t apply to every photograph though, like in a landscape photo.

  13. they work, but that’s because a picture is a picture and i don’t know why it wouldn’t work. it was normal to see those rules being broken, i take pictures like that all the time, just not on purpose haha. yes there are occasions but i don’t know about to that extent. i think it applies when you want to have something that’;s clear really pop out

    They kind of work because on some of the pictures, you can see what the subjects are but on some, it’s just too blurry to see the photos. This doesn’t apply to every photograph because on some photos, the colors will match to what you will see but on some, the colors are dark so you won’t be able to see them

    Although the photographs are blurry, the viewer still has a sense of what is going on in the photo. I could still see the buildings and stuff. I think using the blurry technique just ruins the photo in my opinion. Some photos may be blurry depending on the photo and what is in it. This doesn’t apply to every photograph because some photos may want to show what is in the picture.

    – Because some people might prefer their photos to be in focus and clear looking

  21. The photos both do and don’t work, they don’t seem to work because it’s hard to put things together but also does work because it gives a sense of mystery. I like how this photographer decided to break the rules. I do believe that there are times where a photograph is allowed to be blurry, but only when trying to create certain feelings and moods for their audience. Other times it just doesn’t work as well as using a different method.
