For your next photo challenge, you will take five images that has to do with someone at school, a student a teacher, etc. You will take five photos that have to do with this person. Not all five will be photos of the person, maybe 1-2, the other three or four images will be of things that they are talking about. It could be the object that is in their hand. It could be a concept that they are talking about. You will bring an audio recorder with you, or use the microphone on your Smartphone to capture the interview with this person. The slideshows will be at least thirty seconds, five seconds per slide.

Potential questions could include:

  • Name one thing that gives You joy outside of teaching/school?
  • Name and describe one person who made you who you are today?
  • Describe a challenge you faced and how you overcame it?
  • What’s one thing you do better than anyone?
  • What’s one person who has had a huge influence over your life and why?

Choose one or more of these questions to ask, and see what they come up with, asking leading questions if they say, I don’t know.

Once you have your interview, you will take the audio you recorded, and the photos you took and mix it together in Adobe Premiere Pro or you can use Adobe Spark. See the tutorial below.

CFG Critique & Voting: HDR – Period 5

Step 1: Get together in your CFGs and pull up the HDR photos you made last week. All of the work that was turned in last week is up now on the website.

Step 2: Each person should be able to answer these questions about each photo in your CFG. Write down the group’s thinking on each of these questions for each of your photos. Post the answers in a google doc and turn it into Google Classroom. Critiques are due on Tuesday.

1. Does each image contain an HDR type effect to it? Is the HDR effect subtle or heavy? Does the HDR special effect compliment the subject matter well? Is the subject something that is brightly colored? What is the photographer trying to say with this HDR effect? Does the image need to be cropped or rotated? Is the photo’s subject in sharp focus?

2. Overall, what could be done to make this photo stronger?

Each person turn in a copy of their group’s answers to the above questions
